Back for its eighth year at historic Old Derby Academy, 34 Main St. across from Noble's Camera Shop, this event, sponsored by the Hingham Mothers' Club and the Hingham Historical Society, transforms Old Derby Academy into a wonderland of decorated trees, gingerbread houses, wreaths, and centerpieces, all available to purchase through a silent auction and children’s raffle. All proceeds benefit the Hingham Mothers' Club Scholarship Fund and Wellspring's Diane Edson Fund.
The Festival is a showcase of community creativity. Donations from local merchants, civic organizations, and individuals range from traditionally decorated trees, to whimsical trees, to trees containing items and services that are perfect for that hard-to-buy-for person. Past themes included “Orange You Glad It's Christmas?” (all orange!), “Sweet Little Origami Tree” and “You’d Better Watch Out” (with 20 stylish watches for ornaments).
To donate a tree, centerpiece or gingerbread house please fill out the form below. We also need over 40 volunteers to set-up, staff, and close down the event. If you can take a two hour shift contact us through email at or complete the online form below. This is our biggest fund raiser of the year, and we need all hands on deck to make it a great success. Please take the time to donate a tree or work a shift!
